Lamps and lanterns export enterprises need to guard against quality hidden danger
2021-02-07
As a traditional commodity of China's foreign trade, lamps and lanterns have developed rapidly in recent years, especially with the continuous improvement of energy-saving awareness at home and abroad, energy-saving lamps, LED lamps and other low-energy products are favored by consumers all over the world. However, with the continuous growth of export business, there are many incidents that China's export lamps and lanterns have been notified by foreign officials due to potential quality problems, which have a negative impact on the reputation of "made in China", and enterprises need to pay attention to them urgently.
In 2012, the European Union consumer goods rapid warning system RApex and the CPSC of the United States reported more than 120 unqualified cases of domestic lamps, accounting for nearly 30% of the total number of mechanical and electrical products reported by Europe and the United States, and most of them are potential electrical hazards that may cause personal injury. The quality of lamps has aroused great concern in developed countries.
From the reasons of the notification, design defects become the main reason for unqualified export lamps. The lack of effective protection between insulated parts and live parts caused by poor product design, too thin power line or lack of effective fixation for lamps and lanterns are the two main reasons for product recall. The existence of these hidden dangers indicates that such products do not meet the requirements of international mandatory standards at the design stage.
In terms of products reported, LED lamps and lanterns, which have sprung up in recent years, have gradually become one of the main unqualified commodities, accounting for one fourth of the total number of lamps and lanterns reported, and their proportion has caught up with traditional lamps and lanterns such as decorative lamp strings. With the increasing use of LED lamps, the spot check of LED lamps in developed countries may be further strengthened. It should be noted that although some lamps did not clearly indicate the existence of quality problems, they were also notified due to the illegal use of UL * * certification marks.
Export lamps are frequently reported by foreign countries for the following reasons: first, a few enterprises blindly produce according to customer samples. Some foreign customers are not familiar with the standards, pay more attention to the product cost and appearance, but ignore the quality problems, and the sample wires provided are too thin, which often do not meet the requirements of laws and standards. However, the enterprises lack the ability of audit and control, and use all kinds of certification marks in violation of regulations in order to win orders or even blindly comply with customer requirements.
Second, the technical strength of small and medium-sized lighting enterprises is relatively weak. Because the export products need to meet the requirements of the importing country, and some small and medium-sized enterprises have weak technical strength, limited ability to collect and interpret foreign standards and regulations, and lack of perfect self inspection and self-control system, many products do not carry out the necessary type test and detection in strict accordance with the standards before export, there are great quality risks.
Third, the technical trade measures of developed countries are becoming more and more strict. In recent years, the technical standards and regulations of developed countries in Europe and the United States are constantly updated. For example, Finland and other countries have reported the LED cups exported by China on the ground that they do not meet the EU en 60968 and other standards. However, some well-known European certification companies adopt IEC 62560 standard for certification, which leads to the risk of notification of qualified products. Therefore, enterprises should strictly control the product certification and choose the certification standards according to the principle of "high rather than low", so as to avoid the loss of big things from small ones.
LED power supply manufacturers switch to general lighting market
With the rapid rise of civil LED lighting market in the past year, many driving power supply manufacturers and IC semiconductor companies have gradually expanded from commercial applications to LED general lighting market. However, in the face of more stringent requirements for product price and reliability in this kind...
Industry "big guys" in the eyes of the LED bulb Market?
In order to understand the development of LED bulb technology, different enterprises and different specifications of LED bulb are selected, and the product parameters are analyzed. At the same time, some enterprises are also selected to share the market development prospect, market operation ideas and brand promotion ideas of LED bulb, hoping that Guangzhou manufacturers will take this opportunity to see, observe, think and discuss more.
